Fernando Bruguera, Argentine Tango pianist, music director, composer and musical arranger is known internationally for his expertise in Tango music. He began playing the piano at a very early age and soon discovered his passion for the Tango. His many years of experience in the local Tango scene of Buenos Aires make him one of the most renowned connoisseurs of the genre and a specialist in the complete range of Tango styles.
Bruguera was born in the Argentine province of La Pampa and started his academic career as a musician at the “Escuela de Música Popular de Avellaneda”. He complemented his studies with the well-known Tango pianist Nicolas Ledesma. Afterwards, Bruguera gained significant professional experience by being member of the “Orquesta Escuela de Tango Emilio Balcarce”, conducted by Emilio Balcarce personally and, among others, also by Julián Plaza, Néstor Marconi, Raúl Garello and Luis Stazo. Later on, he refined his piano technique with the renowned classical pianist Susana Agrest.
